I've had bird pepper pods meld before but not leaves. it produced a 'siamese twin' type pod with the join clearly visible. I didn't keep the seeds because I was pretty sure the flower had been outcrossed as I had about 8 different varities all growing close together.

I still think of that pod, late at night, wondering what might have been...
