Am looking for info on the Cabacinha. Is a Brazilian pepper, capsicum chinense, with the shape of a pear. I was told that they belong to the family of the pimenta fidalga.
Donnie, thanks for the offer, but the Cabacinha has a more pronounced pear shape. What you have looks more like a Fidalga. You can find a picture on this Brazialian site: http://confrariadapimenta.blogspot.com/
You might want to contact some of the brazilian forum members (Marcio is the only one I can think of at the mo, but there are quite a few). I'm sure one of them knows about this species.
Hi, gvittman,
I have Fidalgas (red, yellow, purple and orange) but they don't look like the Cabaça.
If you want, you can join the brazilian forum about peppers. There's a section for English speakers there.
