I agree. That is an EXCELLENT seller. So are the ones Talas mentioned as well, but Rareseeds offers very attractive prices too and gives nice seed quantities. Plus, they also donate seeds to charitable organizations which I find commendable.

I got the majority of my seeds - peppers and toms, from http://www.rareseeds.com. Randwell is a good guy.

The only seeds I have gotten indirectly through e-bay were supposed to be nagas. They were yellow naga shaped peppers with a little heat.

If you buy chile seeds from Ebay, you will be wailing on this forum in 200 days or less.

Find a chile seed purveyor who depends upon his reputation and does not prey on the uninitiate.

What IGG said...seeing as it's total trust.

Pepper seeds tend to look alike.
You won't know until they come up if they are true, and by then you wouldn't be able to get money back.

I'm sure there are some good sellers of seeds there, but I'd rather not take chances. :onfire:

To give you an idea of how legitimate seed dealers operate, Randell from RareSeeds got some Naga Jolokia seeds from a source (I presume one he trusted) but still has me and probably a couple others try to grow them to see if they were the real McCoy. He took the seeds off his site.

On a positive note, I bought many seeds off Ebay 2-3 years ago and was very happy with all. They were true to form. Sellers such as Philliperv are a good example. There are bad apples ewerywhere of course. Reimers is a "seed purveyor." Wanna buy from them?

Chris

I know Reimers has a very bad rep but I had little choice but to buy from them (was looking for self-pollinating cukes and it was either pay Thompson & Morgan a buck a seed or use Reimers). I got what I ordered and every seed I sowed sprouted. They haven't moved up to the Top 5 or even the Top 10 but in this instance they came through.

Thers naga morich,7pot,Fatalli on a few sites listed buddy..They are all superhots my friend

I can personally attest to fatalii.net While there's a bit of a language barrier at times, he ships quick and everything he's sent me has sprouted. Also, he's got some pretty good instructables on his website!

As for ordering off of ebay- while I agree that there are quite a few good sellers, there are far too many bad sellers as well. I look at ebay like a cross between a flea market and a pawn shop that's set up at 3 in the morning in the parking lot behind a dive bar. You might get what you think you're getting, but don't exactly let your jaw hit the dirt if you don't.
