glog Dot Com's 2014 balcony grow

just gettin' ye old Glog started as I have some over winters & this late sprout from last season that I crowned last week:

looks like two of my over-winters are alive. Now, if I can just keep from over-watering them   Guhahati on the right AND I believe (can't conform or deny yet ) a C-Not Madballz 7- Pot Red Cross Big Pods Twisted. It would be kewl if that is what it was. They're super-hots w/ a characteristic dimply skin and intense heat

got back from running an errand and a Red Brain Strain popped through the surface of the peat.

looks like Yellow Brain survived me removing its seed cap. Really the runt of my seedlings. She might make it yet seeing as she put-out her 1st set of true leaves..

One of the last ones to pop- a Primo (& hook directly beneath it). First one came up helmet head & I killed it trying to remove it Have since successfully removed 2-3 more helmet heads from other strains. Can't wait for this one

 
Barrackpore forest Was unable to grow this one last season but I have a chance this year Second one from left was a helmet head until I successfully removed the cap w/ tweezers, after wetting it & letting it soak for 1/2 hr

It is some variety of super hot that I wanted to grow. Wish i had made another label when the orig one started to get too pale to read!!! Looks "Scorpionish (Americas) as opposed to Bhutish (India/Bangladesh) right?

slowly coming along. Quite slowly so I added more dirt to the pot. The seedling was almost half way down in the pot so I thought raising the dirt level will give it more light/growth potential

Put a couple more seedlings, Assam & Brain Strain Red, out on the balcony as well because my apt is too cold for them to thrive in-season it seems. Brain Strain Red was wilting/dying & now it looks like its making a comeback:

First superhot of the 2014 season for me. Cut it lengthwise & ate 1/2 of it. It is definitely in the suprhot (Trinidad?) family of peppers. Could it be a basic Morouga? I have those seeds and I know for a fact I didn't sow any Butch T's
 

 
 

 
 

 
Burned the tongue immensely in the beginning, like sticking your tongue in a dixie cup filled w/ petrol; not that Ive ever felt the need to do that, as well as immediate hiccups. Subsided after not too long. Not as hot as some others I've tried but definitely a super hot. Prolly could have eaten the whole thing but its the beginning of the season & want to GRADUALLY increase my tolerance chops

I wish it was a Primo but I don't think it is. I had a Primo seedling that didn't make it. Maybe this one slipped by & is a Primo? (its on the far left in this pic).
 
Anyway, took apart my over-winter grow-light, & moved the whole farm outside to finish hardening-off. No more indoor growing. outdoor growing is the best :

Small Assam & a Red Brain (4th & 5th small pots in from the foreground of the pic) are taking time to make it past the seedling stage The rest seem to be past the seedling-stage & getting vigor (Tall plant in the center b/g is an orange tree & the low bushy plant in right b/g is a strawberry plant just in case people think i don't know what I'm growing   ) The rest are peppers :
 

 
my local big box hardware store stopped selling these type of pots. Glad I got so many when I could. They're plain/utilitarian, nice sizes, & cheap.

Assam & Red Brain Strain. These are the runts I was talking about. The Barackpore's that I have were the same size as the Assams, at one point. The Assams seem stunted/not growing or growing at a snails pace?
