Drinking songs

Hey ya'll. Check out this utube vid of Dropkick Murphy's "Kiss Me I'm Shitfaced." Funny drinking song. Anyone else got favorite dirinking songs? Cheers.

"I like beer" by Tom T Hall

In some of my songs i have casually mentioned
The fact that i like to drink beer
This little song is more to the point
Roll out the barrel and lend me your ears

(Chorus:)
I like beer. it makes me a jolly good fellow
I like beer. it helps me unwind and sometimes it makes me feel mellow (makes him feel mellow)
Whiskey's too rough, champagne costs too much, vodka puts my mouth in gear
This little refrain should help me explain as a matter of fact i like beer
(he likes beer)

My wife often frowns when we're out on the town
And i'm wearing a suit and a tie
She's sipping vermouth and she thinks i'm uncouth
When i yell as the waiter goes by

(Chorus)

Last night i dreamed that i passed from the scene
And i went to a place so sublime
Aw, the water was clear and tasted like beer
Then they turned it all into wine

I like beer. it makes me a jolly good fellow
I like beer. it helps me unwind and sometimes it makes me feel mellow (makes him feel mellow)
Whiskey's too rough, champagne costs too much, and vodka puts my mouth in gear
Aw, this little refrain should help me explain as a matter of fact i love beer
(yes, he likes beer)

That used to be on the jukebox at the Sloan Street Taproom in Clemson, SC, and I have many a fuzzy memory of waving beer mugs about and singing along.

most everybody here should know the most famous beer drinking melody song ever, words have been changed, but nonetheless you should know it!

Got it covered.
"Highballs" by Guttermouth.

"Imagine my friend that the well has run dry
The bar keep resigns cause there won’t be more rye
Trade lies with your mates then you have a good cry
It’s finally happened no more good times
What would you do and what would you say?
If some bloody bastard took the high balls away
My God the world would insist that we cannot
Be happy until we are pissed off our ass!

Day by day they take our freedom
Who the hell gives them the right?
Hold your glass up high and we’ll
Drink on and on and on and on
If I’m happy or I’m sad
Jack daniel’s makes me feel allright
Raise your glass up high and we’ll sing
On and on and on and on
All we want all we want all we want
Is high balls for everyone
And then, this fucked up world would seem allright

Hold on jacky, save me your goodbye’s
Hold on jacky, need a double rye
We got your back jack baby no more feelin dry
So cheers to you my dear old friend
Come on jacky, gimme the good times
Come on jacky, don’t wanna walk the line
We got your back, jack baby no more feeling dry
So cheers to you and all our/your friends tonight

Day by day they take our freedom
Who the hell gives them the right?
Hold your glass up high and we’ll
Drink on and on and on and on
If I’m happy or I’m sad
Jack daniel’s makes me feel allright
Raise your glass up high and we’ll sing
On and on and on and on
All we want all we want all we want
Is high balls for everyone
And then, this fucked up world would seem allright"

gotta agree on blood for blood, some fine drinking music!

other than that, i'd say anything..good or bad..is good drinking music. if it's bad, you drink to ignore it, if it's good, you drink to enjoy it. :)

personally i love drinking to straight edge hardcore :D

edit..this band finntroll is pretty good drinking metal. i didn't really care for them at first, but it grew on me after a while. though, i'd say all metal is good drinking music. hah

Yeah...I know I started this thread but should mention my all time fav drinking song..."One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer" by John Lee Hooker. Thought of that today while on the road listening to the George Thorougood version today on the FM. George does it justice righteously!! Cheers ya'll..TB
