Slosh's Bar & Grill 2014 Hot Sauce Advent Calendar - Day #15

Welcome back to Slosh's Bar & Grill and welcome to our 2014 Hot Sauce Advent Calendar ... 25 sauces in 25 days!

On the fifteenth day of Christmas Slosh tried Emerald Dragon from Jungle Rain - http://junglerain.com.au/ ... another one of their brand new sauces!

This didn't really taste like I was expecting it to taste ... the taste of fresh crushed mint was far stronger than I thought it would be before I got to smell it ... I still think that it is going to great with roast lamb but for some reason I think that mixing it with yoghurt would make an amazing dipping sauce for Indian food ... great texture ... such a big burst of mint when it first touches your tongue ... but not like a mint jelly ... a really interesting sauce that I am going to plan tomorrow's dinner around to test my theory ... you make very unique sauces Grant!

Nice review, interesting sauce and another sauce with coconut as well. Not sure about the mint. I don't not like mint but it depends on what it's in and how much is used. Have a blast at the Lebowski event man, The Dude abides. Would love it if they had something like that around here

Mint is a weird one for me. Outside of lamb I'm not that into it. Might be good on a Gyro or shwarma (especially with a tzatziki sauce, which is yogurt-based) but I can't imagine this being very versatile. I could be wrong - interested in tasting it though, so hopefully one of my local hot sauce superstores starts carrying it.

Fresh mint is good with chicken, conservative is the key regardless of the protein
