hey, just be glad those ebay seeds actually germinated into something. I stopped buying seeds on Ebay a few years back cuz nothing ever germinated. seemed like mostly garbage seed being pedalled. and the real problem is the window for leaving feedback is relatively small so by the time seeds don't germinate or turn into something they weren't supposed to be you've got no recourse.
like the OP said: &@$# Ebay. but at least the seeds are cheap, the plant sellers are even worse: I got hosed on a $150 worth of so-called tree peonies. avoid ebay like the plague for seeds/plants. sorry, just my opinion and my experience.

I'm confused. Why would anybody buy Bhut Jolokia seeds from anyplace other than the original source of the one that owns the current world record?

Nothing wrong with Ebay--it's the A-hole scammers that suck.

Dr. Bosland is not the original seed source. Many of us were growing nagas/bhuts long before Dr. Bosland started selling the seeds. It was actually forum members that gave him the seeds.
As for E-bay, the potential for being scammed when buying seeds is extremely high so avoid it and look for a reputable source who has a proven record and a legit company

Patrick, because Dr. Bosland decided he would put a ridiculous minimum order size requirement which offended many buyers.

You think they'll get over the offense now, after they got their stuff from EBay?

EBay chile seed is a scam without exception and preys on the uninitiate.
