Fire and Ice

Ok so here's the deal. I got my first ice cream maker for my birthday and I'm thinking hot peppers and cold Ice cream so Fire and Ice, a place to talk about this firey cool combo. So what I'm thinking about now is developing a receipt for Candied Habs and Honey ice Cream. What I need is a really good receipe for making candied hab's? Anyone have one or know where I can get some.

I have used and recommend this post

Hmm Candied hab ice cream, sounds good. Honey will probably work great in that, maybe ginger would too.

Yeah I bet the Ginger or maybe some lavender would be a really good flavor to add. A nice sweet one. Talking with my mom she suggested adding some crushed up peppermint might be good.

The Complete Chile pepper book by Dave DeWitt and paul Bosland has a recipe for candied chillies. IMO honey and chilli go awesome on Vanilla icecream, the honey goes a little hard/chewy and is to die for.
Hope it turns out well, it sounds great. I like the idea of peppermint too, but perhaps nuts would go quite nice as well for a bit of crunch, maybe cashews or macadamias. :drooling:

Ok chili lovers someone has dine it and a whole lot more. If you love Ice Cream and if you live for new flavors then you have to check this our.
