First timer grow log

Howdy,

My name is Steve i live in Iowa, i have decided to try my hand at growing my favorite pepper this year and after reading many forums i decided to register here and post a pic to get some of you expert's input on my baby habs. This pic was taken today they were sowed 11 days ago, i have never attempted to grow peppers from seed so i am a complete newb and not sure what to look for as far as how things are goin so far. Thanks for any responses and take it easy.

Your habs are making me jealous. They are beautiful.

Could you post the site you got the instructions for the SIP bucket??

What soil mix did you use when you first transplanted your seedlings??
I've noticed my seedlings have almost stop growing. Its been about 20 days for mine only starting on their second leaves now. :(

Thanks

Here are the plans i followed i used 2 5 gal buckets and a cool whip container SIP

there first transplant was from Jiffy-7 peat pellet to 18 oz  cups and some cheapo moisture max from lowes This *i wont use it again but it got the job done...

Best of luck with your grow...patience is key and make sure they have the needed amount of light air circ moisture temp and nutes then try not to stare at them every 5 mins...i know i know its hard ive stared mine down for over 4 months now lol but the long wait is starting to pay off for me...

Nice lookin habs. What happened to your SIP? Mine are performing really well in this heat.

thanks Dsh, i pretty much failed on the SIP it got real yellow and stopped growing only produced 3-4 peppers and it has undergone a few mad scientist experiments over the last month so its out of the game now i will do it right next time

Beautiful! I grew that variety of Caribbean Red in 2009, and still have a couple of overwintered container plants from that grow. I love their smooth lantern shape, and they've got a nice sharp bite.

WOW. those plants look great. lol.
This type of thread i what makes me want to learn how to do this properly. lol.
right now im just by the seat of my pants see what happens.. But no peppers and sickly looking plants are really no fun. lol
