I am thinking about a hot sauce I would like to make that would be blue. I don't use them in regular cooking so I have no clue how they react to cooking and such. Will it be harmful to use?
I've tried to make blueberry hot sauces and they always seem fade to a sick gray color.
Food coloring is fine to use in foods, hence the name . If you can find it, they also have food color pastes which are a lot more concentrated than the regular supermarket food colorings.
