Ok. So, I've been on here for a couple months and I've seen some pretty ridiculous stuff. Everyone on here, for the most part, is super passionate about growing, cooking, and eating peppers. Not only that, most everyone on here is EXTREMELY generous. Now, I don't know if that's just a characteristic benign masochists or if peppers just attract that kind of person.

Anyway, I wanted to create a kind of guide or map for new and old users alike. A list of our collective "pet peeves". That way, hopefully, people won't continue to repeat the same faux pas.

So without any more babbling, here is one of my major pet peeves:

I hate it when people's first post is asking for something.

Now, have at it friends. Contribute so we can all benefit! :D

if you are new here and reading this, please you will get yourslef on the bad side of members here really quick.

do not take advantage of the amazing members on here that offer free seeds and then turn around and try to sell them on here. there is nothing in the site rules against it but it is bad karma. if you get free seeds and do not need them or use them just give them away as you received them!

side note, i was given a set of tire warmers(400 dollar value) by a racing buddy, and when i got a better pair i gave them away just like i got them! you will make more friends and get more seeds that way!

my pet peeve is that SAn Deigo weather is only 75 and sunny year round! my peppers would like at least 2 months of mid 80's please

if at first you dont succeed, laugh at how bad it was then try it again till you get it right! :rofl: took my like 5 tries on my racing forum till i got it right and many many laughs later

Holy schmokes! Mystery solved.

I went and looked in the technical support section too. Which brings me to another one:

People who ask the questions without searching the forums for answers first. Not that big a deal, but really, a lot of this stuff has already been discussed ad naseum. USE THE SEARCH FEATURE! :lol:

Yeah or MQ > Add Reply. Hmm just discovered a bug with MQ > Use Full Editor, it strips the post formatting. Will get that fixed.

OK, since you asked-

my pet peeve is when a person quotes a post with a ton of pictures, they re-post all the pics and then say something brilliant..like..."Cool Pics, Man!".


FYI- when quoting or multi-quoting, you can delete text and image codes in the original posts to get to the part you are referring to. Maybe there is one sentance or one image that you would like to talk about, then delete all the rest of the images and leave the one/part you want.
 
Oh yes, it happens a lot in TDs. Annoying. :)
