Forum etiquette

another good one is not using quotes at all! i mean the comment some one makes might be 2-3 pages after the original post and we may have no idea what they are talking about, like you have posting turrets and just post random things on random threads.
 
Haha yeah I've seen members just copy the test and not put quote tags so it looks like them saying it.

I actually fix a lot of this stuff, merging posts, adding tags... this is why it is a pet peeve :D
 
This dude PM'd me, he had 0 posts, and was only a member for about an hour, telling me I could send him some seeds. WTH is that about?

I thought you didn't have PM privileges until you had some posts?

pet peeve! :rofl: not taking the time to read post and see what has been said or what the thread is really about! thread could be about germinating seeds and there is a random post about some guy wanting seeds and if anyone in the thread has them to give away!

FYI- when quoting or multi-quoting, you can delete text and image codes in the original posts to get to the part you are referring to. Maybe there is one sentance or one image that you would like to talk about, then delete all the rest of the images and leave the one/part you want.

+1, if you leave pictures in a quote there ought to be something specific you want to point out about it/them, and they better not be just 2 posts up on the same page...

Oh, and my pet peeve is people welcoming 30 people in a row to get their post count up or whatever.

seriously why not? there is as pot for you to come and rant about things that you dont care for on the forum or just in general. personally i would rather have a spot for people to come and get things off their chest rather than post inappropriate things in the wrongs threads! this could be a good thing for the forum. n ot to mention it can bring a laugh or 2, if you dont like it well then dont come in and read it. you have the choice to click or not to click. and if you take things personal you are too up tight and need to blow off steam so post something! :beer: :rofl: :cheers:
 
I don't see any problems with it either. I had doubts at first but it ended up fun.
