Foxprorawks' 2009 Pictures

Well, I repotted the Apache's last night into bigger pots.

I had a look at them this morning and noticed this:

That's the first of my chillis to change colour.

When is the best time to harvest these? Is it best to wait until they are red?

Depends on what you are going to do with them...if you are going to eat them and want them at their hottest, I read some reasearch that said when the peppers first start turning red (or ripe color) they are at their maximum heat then the heat decreases as they further ripen...if you want to save seeds from the pods, let them ripen completely on the plant, then pick, hang and dry...

It does look just like Jabba

The Apaches have come on great - they grew really fast and have produced a fair amount of flowers and pods so far. It's all happened in a very short period of time.

The Apache in the picture above looked like this on the 4th April this year:

My flat is likely ideally placed for growning on windowsills. The front room and kitchen have windows facing East, so they get the sunrise. Meanwhile, the bedrooms all have windows facing West, so they get a lot of sun even at this time (about 20 to 8 in the evening).

I've repotted the Apache's into bigger pots, so I've moved them onto a bedroom windowsill. It's been a bit grey all day, but the sun is out now.
