Great stuff going on here! Excellent growing. Very cool bleeding calyx's and always like good mail like that.Mike
Thanks for the kind words Mike. I really like the BBG7 pods one of the coolest peppers IMO. If everything goes well I should have some pods around x-mas :)

Sweet! Dunno how I didn't find this before! I see all the usual suspects frequenting this place too so BONUS!

Did you ever get those two cayenne varieties figured out? Look like Jimmy Nardellos and Whippets Tails???

Thanks, the cayenne's I guess that my friend grew last year were  F1's from what I was told. I pulled seeds from the pods at random and ended up with 4 plants that are all a little different in plant/pod shape and heat. 1 plant has no heat,1 plant has just a little heat, and the last 2 plant's are hotter then the pods I pulled seed from. My favorite of the 4 has really large pods, bigger then the one's I pulled the seed from. A few are almost 12in long and 3 inches wide. Going to save seed from that one to grow next year as I have one pod that I isolated the flower with pantyhose, hope it has seeds  :P

Sound really good!!! I would be willing to bet the ones with little or no heat have either of the ones I mentioned in their lineage...both sweet with mild to no heat.

Search for the longest pepper contest from last year...you probably would have had a winner with one that size. I think Big Jim holds the world record for the longest and is about that size!!! Would be fun to isolate and select for a few seasons and break that record!!!

I just went to measure... I have a question for anyone who knows. Do you measure the curve in a pepper if it has one when measuring length? Or just from tip to tip. Tip to tip my two largest are just shy of 10.5in,with the curve I gain another in. Thanks

Got Garlic?    Just started to clean/sort and trim heads this afternoon. gonna be a long night, and I still have more hanging

There ain't such a thing as too much garlic... Good job Devan!

I got your hot, smoked salt in the mail yesterday, and it looks great. I'll be using it on my breakfast egg n' cheese sandwich this morning. Feedback later. I was short on woozies for sauce making, so I'm gonna get a few cases today and make the sauce tonight. I'll let you know when it's headed your way. Cheers!

Thanks Rick! I love garlic and use a ton of it, plus I plant my own seed stock so I like to have a lot to pick from.  Labor of love  :P

Glad you got the chili salt Rick, I made that particular batch of salt this spring when the ocean water was still cold. I think the salt has a better/cleaner taste when made from really cold water instead of summer time water temps.

Excellent hot, smoked salt Devan! The sea salt was clean-tasting, not "fishy" at all... the light smoking you gave it was spot-on, not too heavy handed... and the pepper flavor was good, with a nice burn. Altogether... a good balance with everything it should have and none of what it shouldn't. Great job!

I see a whole lot of fresh garlic paste and other goodies coming soon!
I am going to use your powder and make a paste later today with fresh garlic, evo, lime zest and rub it on some large shrimp to grill for tacos later tonight  :)

Had to share a pic of the box I received from Chris @ Joyner's hot peppers yesterday, I was impressed with the quality of the pods and that he took the time to label
