Looking good up there.
All caught up and impressed with all that garlic!
You got your hands on some serious fire as of recently.
BBg7s are pretty damn cool and tasty!
Yellow 7s And yel brains are super yummy! You got that right!

Thanks guys I appreciate all the great comments, pepper folks are the best.

Rick-  Just snapped this pic, getting the grill going and doing some prep. Can't wait to try your sauce    I just pulled back the husks on some corn and rubbed them down with a little evo,sea salt, smoked paprika, garlic and onion powder.  Making red beans and rice and fresh cuke salad from the garden.

Ok so Rick(stickman) really knows what he's doing. Tried his blueberry smoked chocolate hab sauce tonight on some grilled pork. Most excellent! This went great with the pork, sweet with hints of blueberry with a great deep rich hab flavor. Hints of smokiness with a nice mellow burn perfect for picking up the flavor without killing it with to much heat. Thanks again Rick, all the best

Looking good Devan... so don't keep us in suspense... how was it?

Hi Rick, it was excellent. Not sure if you missed the text above the pic? thanks again

Forgot my update- So I have been working on a garden for my 2014 pepper grow. I tilled a 20 x 50 area over the last couple of weeks adding a few amendments. Sunday I planted 20lbs of Hairy Vetch, Winter Rye and Buckwheat got lucky right before all the rain. I will till this into the soil around nov1st and then plant another 20lbs of winter rye with the addition of some kelp meal. Not sure how many plants I will be able to put in a 20 x 50 but I will fill it

Sorry guy... I saw the pic before you added the text... glad you liked the sauce! I never would have thought of using Blueberries if Greg (pic1) hadn't suggested it. Cheers man!
No worries mate  :P  Yeah I really like the blueberry flavor- you inspired me. I have a ton of blueberries in the freezer that I picked this year.

Great updates Dev. Pods look superb. Just like their mothers.

And that foody shot has me salivating at 9:30 am. Gonna be a long hungry day.
Thanks Jamie- I think it will be nice tomorrow I will take some good pics. Really like your brain strain- and the choco naga seeds you sent me have just started to finally ripen pods, the chocolate color is very cool more like milk chocolate then dark. The plant is loaded with pods and a bunch of the pods have little stingers  :onfire:

You'd be amazed Devan... Some really require lots of room to expand into though... from my own experience, I'd say you'll need a 3 foot spacing if you grow Poblanos, Large Pod Yellow 7s and Marconis. The  Aji Omnicolors would need a 4 foot spacing. I planted 2 of them 2 feet apart in a raised bed 4 feet wide, and they expanded to completely fill a roughly 5x4 foot area.

Good idea to plant green manure crops and plow them under to build up the soil. I haven't done that since there are so many local sources of manure, but it would probably be worth looking into.

I'd like to grow 75+ plants and then some in pots, it's a sickness    I will add some composted chicken manure from my hens this spring when I till in the winter rye.  5 days and the buckwheat/winter rye has already started to come up strong. No sign of the vetch yet- but any day.

Here's another small harvest from this morning.

Today was a showdown between yellow Brain, red brain, yellow 7  :hell:

Very nice Devan!

Snakes! I've had a few in the garden this year..one had rattles...glad the wife was there and saw it first, because I couldn't see the bugger from my standpoint.

Glad to hear you're expanding the garden! The cover crops are great! I use them to make green mulch and keep the nutes from leaching into the soil. They pull them back up and are available after tilling for the next grow.

Pod pics are fantastic and I'm liking your harvest!

Have a great weekend!

Luckily we don't have any that will harm you here, that little guy went back into the garden after I snapped a pic. Good snail eaters! Big fan of planting cover crops, winter rye really helps break up the soil here with it's crazy root system. thanks for the kind words
