Fresh Peppers?

Anyone have any rare or harder to find peppers they'd be willing to let me take one or two off your hands? I'm getting anxious and have not gotten a single pepper from my own plants.

I've had many kinds of pepper, but as far as fresh peppers goes, i've only ever had jalapeno, thai hot, habanero, pablano, and the usual supermarket types. I have 2 dried bhut jolokias, but i'm saving them for a sauce down the line.

I'm more than happy to pay for shipping. Extremely happy to accept donations. I'll even work a trade if/when i have a harvest.

Also, if anyone knows any NJ growers near Edison, NJ who might have some to buy, i'd love to get that info as well.

i've got my fingers crossed. :)

Hey fine what are you looking for?I`m not loaded in exotic but have
a variety of types not including the mild ones.Dorset naga,Bhut jolikia, scorpion, fatali, datil red, (peach, orange, car red and choc hab)J S bonnet.I think that covers most of mine.If any of these help out let know. Rich

There's a farmer's market in Trenton that I believe has peppers, but I guess that's not so close to Edison.

Yeah, Trenton's kind of out of the way.

I'd love to get any naga, bhut j., or...well any/all of those.

How would you want to work it? I'm pretty much open to anything. I looked on ebay, but i don't think i want to mail order fresh produce from Hungary.

What about Cross Country Nurseries in Stockton, NJ? I know theyre not that close to you, but the ride out that way is gorgeous.

I've been wanting to check them out. It's just a matter of getting out that way. Actually, i might be going out to Allentown this weekend. Maybe a sidetrip on the way there is in order? Possibly?

Right on. That about matches my estimation. That's a nice area over there. I've put the request to my chick. If it doesn't delay our other plans i can see this as happening.

I'll let you know this weekend. :) I'm interested in fresh pods so i can eat them and save the seeds and such.

But yeah, i'd spot you shipping, no question.

I'm pretty sure that Cross Country Nurseries sells fresh pods from their web site, and that might help to save on some gas. That is if they are farther than you want to drive.

Im happy to sell or swap you some pods when they get going...i have a large range of chillis, naga jol, habs dorsets and morich, bhuts and many others. I could send them dry and then you would be able to re constitute eat and plant the seeds. let me know via pm.

Happy chilli growing and eating man!

It's cool. Where are you located in Jersey?

i emailed Cross Country Nursery today to see if they're still open for visits. They supposedly aren't open past June. They also do $4.50 per pint fresh peppers by UPS. The catch is $10 shipping and minimum 6 pints. So, about $40 for 6 containers of peppers.

As compared to finding or getting seeds, and then planting and waiting for the final product, that doesn't seem too bad of a cost to me.
