Hello everyone! currently living in Taiwan, but born and raised near Atlanta, GA.
I'm growing these,"DEPT. OF TAIWAN" peppers. Super common in Taiwanese food and around everywhere. They are apparently a type of Cayenne, but love this year-round heat and humidity! I'm growing around 10 plants on the balcony of our 16th floor apartment so bugs and the like are pretty rare. All are in different types of soil, and a few have been topped, a few have been pruned, and 1 has been left alone due to it's tall, lanky size and stature.
2 plants are currently blooming after sprouting from seed in early June.
Pretty fun and interesting stuff overall!
Here's a few pics.
Sprouted seeds
Repotted the first time
Un-pruned or topped (excuse the droop, it just rained)
Some flower buds forming and only 2 flowers so far.
Well, now the pics are over...
Does anyone know of an international seed exchange program? Or seeds to purchase? I need to get my hands on a few reapers or scorpions.
Nice to meet you all!
