So it's official.

The 2014 season has just begun.

I planted the first six, on the right, 7 days ago. The second six a few days later.

More details later.

Nice looking pods Jason!

'Bout this time of year, you should be knee deep in them.

And that chipper/shredder, I waited 10 years wanting one. What a toy tool!

Keep it green buddy!
Strange year Scott. Plants are really loading up, but not swimming in pods yet. Another couple weeks and bam!
Jealous of that shredder. That is ideal for the garden. Would be a prefect time to start some aact. Get the microbes in action! Much easier for them to break down everything now that you have everything shredded.

Turns out... You will like this one Scott... That plants are turning up where I didn't plant them. :D
I knocked over a tray of starters when potting up, as mentioned to you, and mixed up seven or eight varieties. I was sure I got them back in place correctly, but it appears I didn't with a few. Once I started to put the pieces together... I see now what's going on, well partly anyway. Still a bit of confusion on one plant.

A few more Picts before dinner.
From a "not choc scorp" pod. Neat shape.

One of my not orange scorpions is a devil's tongue yellow. Mixed up seeds on the venders part I'm sure.

Top and clockwise. Lolita, CAP 501 x Donni sali, CAP 501, and Chintextle.

Not tepin is putting out more than one flower per node. Looking very much like the jellybean white habs that it was next too.
14095217765151.jpg

Lovely giant rocoto.
14095256999495.jpg

Still a ton of grass/leaf hoppers damage.
14095253885702.jpg

So far... All the bbg7s have grown true. Only two left that just started to flower.

Baby bbg7 on the inside cuttings.

Reaper x bbg7s!

A few pods of two reaper x bbg7s.

Woot!

Love the BB7x reaper cross! Cool how they have the bleeding calyx !

Yeah, this season was a trip with my spreadsheet mishaps. LB promised me she would map things for me next year, I call her radar like the radar on Mash...LOL Somehow with some help I sorted most of them out.

Gotta go, skinny dip time!

Raper bb7 may be my go to pod next season, assuming I get a true start. Absolutely wonderful pods... I used the one you have me (along with a half pound of reapers) in a sauce that I can really get behind.

Garden is looking great. Well pods are. I'd love to try one of those yellow scorps. To my taste the moruga a are the highest burners.

Maybe I can get up there this month. What's your sept look like?

Nice poddage as usual buddy... mr. spike reminds me of Michael Keaton in the movie Beetlejuice. ;)  I'm picking Donne Sali pods too... I think they look like mouse turds more than the Prik Kee Nu. I think my Pimenta Lisa pods are a couple of weeks behind yours... I hope they turn orange like yours, but they're still ivory white with a purple wash.

I feel for your losses from wind squalls... I lost my only PiriPiri plant to one about 3 weeks ago. When it blew down it damaged the roots, so staking it back up didn't help. At least the pods that were on it continued to ripen in the sun and I got about 250 grams of pods from it to make sauce with.

Keep up the good work!

Great looking pulls, Jason.  Love the RBG (Reaper/Bubblegum).  And the ripe Rocoto.  How did that Green Scorpion taste?

That's been my experience, too.  I'm pretty sure I'll have more green pods killed by frost than I'll harvest ripe between now and then.

Green scorps taste almost like a dill pickle with chinense flavor in there, at least when compared to my mystery greens. I like the yellowing inside they get.

Here is a unripe vs ripe comparison.

Thanks everyone for the comments!

A few more picts.

Bhuts. Yel, red, caramel, and choc.

My huge off shaped peach bhuts grew the same this season. Same taste and heat, but huge pods!
14101007309838.jpg

Charles's choc bhut x douglah F2. One went red, the other two plants brown.
14100991713911.jpg

Jay's patch looking good.
14100994407695.jpg

Lovely PI-441598's.
14100994876366.jpg

Second plant of the JAFSH is making cool pods. The first look like Butch Ts.

Bahamian goats. Yum!

Peruvian white habs

Amazing poddage Jason! Lovin it. The plants grow like gangbusters in August. A couple of mine got overloaded and fell over in those popup storms we had. Tied em up and hoping for the best. My favorite bhuts took it pretty hard.

Got to get on this peach pod train, though I think the bubblegum has my favorite flavor.

Thanks Guys!

Stefan's jalabanero cross with purple leaves, stems, flowers and pods had a treat for me inside.

Purple lined placenta.

These bastards have eat more than half of a few plants in the last week. I have found over ten. Found another this morning and it ate most of my only EOB that had pods, pods and all.

I didn't see if this guy could learn to swim, since the wasp had got to him. Need as many wasp as I can get!

The bbg7s are really good. My favorite red for sure! Peach is in! I'm feeling caramel too though!
Plenty of storms lately. I have had many plants falling over now that the pods added weight. Just got some more bamboo stakes. Going right now to prop up a few more.

Looking stellar indeed, no wonder your plants attract uninvited guests.

Those Jalabanero's seem to have been on acid or something.

I have graas/leafhopper damage too, but only on my reapers. Guess the like it hot...

Awesome x Awesome  times 1000!   Those wild ass Reaper x bbg7s look like they were either spray painted or dunked in tomato sauce!    What are those orange BOC?  Are they habs crossed with Bhuts?
