Nice jungle and pod shots.
No frost until Dec., can't beat that.
Have a great week!
Thanks Scott. Your jungle is mighty nice too now.
Survived the week. Hope yours was good.
Keep looking at the extended forecast, which changes daily naturally, and frost possible third week into Nov now. Will see.
Getting my overwinter candidates ready this weekend. That will give them some time to get use to their new shoes before coming inside the garage. Got seeds on my mind trying not to start any yet.
Happy weekend!

+1 on spiders, Jason. Love the wolfies. Walking through webs makes me happy--I know they're eating negative critters. At rate we're going, don't know if gonna have frost too soon either, which is fine by me, long as the spiders and a few other benies hang out.
Nice poddage! You did send a Mystery multi-color; different, but
great taste. Processed with kiwi, tomatillo, and scallions, nice warm version of salsa verde. Rain messed up some pod shapes. But didn't mess with flavor, don't think: peppers are tough.
And no, you didn't send a brown egg. But
am on hunt for Madballz to do one last ferment. Jamie's getting me some, I hope.
Whoever gets me some, I get some sauce back to them, couple woozies. Processed Peach Bhut yesterday. (Yes; sound like a beggar on MDBZ because I am!)
Lol. Annie, will see what's out there as im pretty sure I'm digging the madballz up to overwinter. Think i remember five to ten pods between green and changing. So maybe a few ripe now.

Jason, your plants look amazing! I wish mine were in your position headed for season's end.
It looks like we have similar first frosts. I am sure I will be moving some large pots indoors for ripening. I will be sacrificing space for overwintering a growing number of citrus and other non pepper plants. I have a couple papaya that are too big for anywhere but my living rooms vaulted ceiling or up against the house. They are three years old (from seed) and still no fruit. I hate to leave them out. They grew about a foot and half this season. I had them tilted at ten degrees on the back porch last winter. Maybe my wife will cave at the last moment and let me move them in. Not much good light though. Just one of the many reasons I want to move and have some land space.
That cross peach pheno PI 441598 looks and sounds interesting.
Have a great week!
Mike
That way cool Mike. Wish we had more fruit growing. The wife and went tree shopping earlier in the year, but didn't by anything. I want fruit. Cherry, peach, plum, apricots or something. She started leaning toward pecan or apple. I said pear? And unsettled we bought nothing. Papaya would be cool. Hope you can sneak that one in.
I'm making my overwinter list tomorrow. Wish me luck, cause i can't keep them all. Will be fighting that one out with my self.

Sweet Jason! That peach pod sounds like a keeper for sure. You described the "green/mustard/brown" pod as an interesting green chinense flavor...care to elaborate? Sounds like a good sandwich pepper for sure!
Thanks Shane. The peach pheno is a keeper. Had another this week with my buddy at work and he agreed on the taste. Really sweet and tasting much like a white pod would. Hoping to see the same color in the next generation, or other lighter colors. You want try you hand at that one?
The mystery green/mustard.... It's taste reminds me of a roast green annuum, but with the chinense taste instead. Maybe a somewhat smokey taste. That element of the taste from a green annuum is there, but a cooked one. It's not a strong tasting pod. Subtle and mellow. Don't know how to describe it really anymore than that. An interesting pod that it is.

The plants are still goin, and goin strong! Jason, you have more varieties than any 1 person should............and I love it! Purely amazing!
Thanks Jamison! No such thing as to many varieties when talking about peppers. &... Im thinking i dont like cutting the grass and that yards are over rated. If i slowly move the garden fence over a few feet on each weekend till spring, you think the wife would notice?

What's up Jason!! It's been a while. I get busy at times, my lil one is getting bigger and I spend more time with her.
Dang!! I just ask myself. How do you get in there and out? Lol. Seems impossible to go thru there. I'd get lost in there
.
Keep up the poddage and the great pics. Take care.
, Walter
Thank you Walter. Spend all the time you can with that lil' one of yours. Next thing you know she will be graduating from high school. Happened with me.
On point my friend. After the plants got over head high and then podded up, ever branch just fell over on the next. You can even separate sections, it's like it's been sown together. Mostly crawl thru the top section. A few places you can stand in the middle of bothe rows. And can still pull a few branches back and walk thru on bottom. The bottom addition is crawling only now too.
It's a bit of a task getting thru there just to check this out. Harvesting pods can be even mre tricking trying to reach the pods above you.
Going to rethink my space for next season. Gotta give more room for each plant and have less in that area. Take over other parts of the yard and some of my neighbors too.

Beautiful pods GH. Your varities are crazyyyyy. Glad to see you had a great season. My infinites are Not-Infinities. They turned out yellow.
Thanks Pia. Yellow infinities? How are they. Hot? Super hot? Mine are bitter and fire! I haven't meet a yel pod i didn't like, so guessing they were still good. Thanks on the pods, but your latest updates crush mine.
