smoking Gentlemen(and ladies) start your BBQ's

its a balmy 57*F right now,windy as heck and my smoker is being a nice girl today. holding temps at approx. 240*F

a pork loin injected with apple sauce,coke,franks hot sauce and garlic powder..also rubbed

OMG!!! I am so stuffed right now, but THAT looks so good that I want to eat it. Too bad Ontario is too far a drive to make it for dinner. :lol:

pork loin is resting now, its glazed with an apricot,bbq sauce mixture..i Q'd this pork loin for a forum member on another forum.. he just happens to be passing through my city so i thought i would treat his family to a July 4th meal

Wow. Is he there or are you going to pack it on some dry ice and ship it? By the way, at a festival here in my city, there is a vendor named Bam Bam's BBQ. Any relation?

that would be cool... when i first made my name, i had mentioned it to somebody at a comp. in michigan...all of a sudden the name started appearing...its ok i am happy with just using Bams BBQ anyways..lol

They are closed by the time I get to work, but I hear that they are good. However, I doubt that they are as good as what I have seen in the above photos. :lol:

thanks for the photo PF... right now we are in talks with my financial backers(in-laws.lol), they want me to move to Wisconsin and open either a roadside BBQ plus a small catering company there... its still in talks..lol
 
Wisconsin? You going to cover everything with cheese?

That's a bit shorter of a drive for me so if you do make the move you might want to be prepared for visitors. Specially if you keep posting pics of spare ribs like the last few. Going to get the Garmin charged up.;)

hey Bam u ever win anything with your BBQ??

yah our team in our first comp. took 1st in pork(pulled pork) and 7th overall...

never won a big comp but we havent competed very much. my old team still competes and our best accompliment is that we kicked Guy Fieri's comp. teams a$$....lol

sadly with the way the economy has been last couple of years, our team BamBams BBQ is just a name for now. i believe we are going to start to compete again next year

yeah i would imagine that in order to compete you would have to drive / travel a lot and if you aren't winning big money you are basically paying to go and compete. but i can see where it would be interesting to see how you stack up against others.
