Grilled Mac N Cheese sandwich

start by making your Mac N cheese

wife bought spiral noodle blue box that's fine for this

now, put buttered bread in a hot pan, then layer on some ColbyJack and some Muenster cheeses

then a layer of Mac N Cheese

then some fresh sliced tomato

got another piece of buttered bread down with more Muenster and Colby Jack

once that's melty you combine the two and let sit for a minute in the pan

Behold the glorious Grilled Mac N Cheese

*edit, oops it double posted*

Have you guys every tried honey on your grilled cheese? TRUST ME... It is sooooo good! Just drizzle some honey on the cheese as its melting, and slap on the sandwich. Soooo cheesy and slighty sweet from the honey. YUMMMMM  ;)

I like challa bread for grilled cheese, thick slices and don't press just let it grill in the butter with the weight... nice browned ends, super fluffy challa inside, melty cheese and bacon or whathaveyou.

So you do get a little sweetness.

One word, mustard. Adds a whole different depth to thr sandwich. It is a game changer. My ideal grilled cheese is home made white bread, thinly spread mustard and butter on the inside. Pan fried with coconut oil or butter. Served with extra mustard. :D

Btw when i say mustard i mean the german kind, extra spicy

I have never tried mustard on a grilled cheese but I bet it is good.  I put dry mustard in my mac n cheese recipe so it makes sense =)  I usually just make a grilled cheese out of extra sharp cheddar, and add slices of dill pickles in the sandwich and fry on griddle with butter on outside of the bread.  I'm simple I guess.

Not a grilled cheese but favorite sandwiches as kids (and summertime staple), was just a plain ole tomato sandwich (toasted bread, mayo, salt, pepper, tomato slices).
