If you aren't getting flowers by now, you really need to provide your plants with some energy. Watering them with a can of Red-Bull every hour for at least the first month will ensure success!
 
If your plants are really slow, and are yet to sprout, then you'll need something more energy-heavy, such as hydrocarbons. Personally, I find  crude oil can work wonders. Apply as for Red-Bull, but more liberally. Generally, one application per 15 minutes should have your plants throwing pods within 48 hours!

Came home to find the incubator temperature had fallen to 78 degrees, over 15 degrees below the seeds' comfort zone of 95!   :shocked:
I quickly applied a blow-torch to warm them back to germinating temperature, but am terrified that the tender plants have frozen to death in the meantime.  :mope:
What an awful way to begin the season!   :evil:
 
Not sure what happened - maybe I lightly bumped the Death Dial at some point during my diesel-and-tequila induced drunken rampage last night ?   :confused:

My seeds came in a couple days ago. You did a great job with packaging with the bubble wrap  :cheers:  unfortunately the post office must have taken a hammer to them.. lol.. one or two may still be good.. soaking in cup of water.. ready to put in some coco tomorrow.

You're worried about 78F?! I stay between 80-85F Usually around 81 or so, but I just sat my control to 85 and that made me think HOT! haha

I checked my soil temps last night. 90 degrees on the heat mat. 66-68 degrees off the mat. They claim that you can expect a 20 degree increase from ambient tempurature to soil temp on the mat. Not sure if that holds true in extreme temps, but I will keep an eye on it.

I just wanted to show you the Berger BM2 Germinating mix, this is what i use for my seedling
Components:
Sphagnum peat moss (fine), Fine perlite, Fine vermiculite,
 Dolomitic & calcitic lime, Initial fertilizer charge, Wetting agent

This year my starting mix consists of peat, perlite, vermiculite, worm castings, field aged horse manure and gypsum.

A cheap thermostat with the diode stuck into the tray or soil will keep you from getting too warm.


90F is a scary place for me. Over the years Ive noticed the best germ rates between 80-85F with decreased rates over 85F
 
I have been keeping my house around 64 to 65ﾟ and my heat mat says it will warm my seeds 10 to 20ﾟ hotter so I think I'm in a good rains range, mid to high 70s for the seeds hopefully

It has been about the same in my house, around 68 degrees. Up until recently, I have been germing everything without a heat mat and so far, rates have been better off the mat. As Guru said, I think im running a little hot.
