These are open pollinated again, like last year, so start a handful and keep your favorite for the contest to weigh from.

You think it crossed? The one pheno definitely has chinense features

It's certainly possible, which is why I've suggested keeping them all from the start until we know whats what!

This is the leaf and fruit we are looking for:

With those HUGE leaves people are getting on the chinense looking pheno....i cant help but think "Cobra" .... it was right next to and intertwined. That will still be a really cool cross. You're welcome.

That plant is clearly diseased and needs to be thrown away immediately!

Remember guys, its the fat leafed pheno that we are supposed to grow

You know it's this kind of giving support that
sets THP apart.
Old pros always willing to share their advice.

Once your light is right (the sun) the plants know what to do. Pruning won't do anything once all plants are made equal under the sun. I dare you to try that experiment with a couple of these if you want.

Don't get me wrong, pruning has its place for indoor growers needing to stall stretch, save light penetration space, etc, but once outdoors...all bets are off. I've done every pruning experiment you can think of. Low stress training, sog, topping bla bla - The plants know exactly what to do and how to grow in their natural fractal habit.
No amount of pruning will ever get this many grow sites:

Go to pruning this and you just stall it from doing what it needs to do anyway. As a grower we just make sure the soil is right, the light and water is right and step out of the way. Pruning is a novelty to pass the time indoors.

Besides, these are programmed to respond horribly to pruning. In fact, I'm updating your algorithm as we speak. Please ensure you're near wifi for the next few hours.

I'll second the no chopping method:

Unless...some id-yot started the plants so early that the top leaves are getting burned by the bulbs..and...and   :high:
