baking Guinness bread loaf

I made a loaf of bread in my bread machine today and instead of using water, I used a 440ml can of Guinness Draught.

Ingredients:

440ml can of Guinness Draught
2 Tbsp of oil
2 tsp of Salt
2 Tbsp of sugar (I used 1 1/2 Tbsp of honey)
4 1/3 cups of good Bakers flour
1 tsp of bread improver
1 1/2 tsp of yeast

It came out a little doughy (but only a little) but I still ready like the texture and flavour of this loaf!!!!

I'm planning on making a few different loaves over the next few days cause I have heaps of bakers flour that needs to be used!!

What a waste of guinness... lah lah lah lah lah

The only thing Guinness is good for is being used as a food additive.

Beef and Guinness pie
Braised lamb shanks in Guinness
Guinness bread

I'm sure you're getting the idea :P

cor you are askin for trouble.... lol shhhh say that to an irish man..

guiness and port in same glass is nice tooo!!

I love drinking Guinness and it's so much better from the tap!!

I don't mind using a bottle of beer of something nice in food because I know (or in this case, hope) the flavour will be really good!!
