This is my first post on this forum.
I just got into growing peppers last year as a hobby, I decided to make a pepper sauce for the first time. The recipe i used:
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup chopped carrots
1/2 cup chopped onion
4 cloves garlic, minced
5 habanero peppers
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup lime juice
1/4 cup white vinegar (i used rice vinegar because thats all i had)
1 tomato
after making it and blending it up, i noticed i completely forgot the carrots. and it tasted and smelt too much of vinegar. is it because i used rice vinegar or because i forgot the carrots? if thats the case can i saute a cup of carrots and blend them in with the sauce to even it out? or it is what it is? im really new to making sauce. its actually the first sauce ive ever made ha. Thanks for any help.
