hobbies Have you ever used the burn of peppers as a meditation experience?

I am practicing meditation and concentrating on certain anchors such as sensation and flavor has served well to me.

Have you ever used the burn of peppers as a meditation experience?

Yes. Hard. Capsaicin activates the unconscious circuit, it signals your body (and mind) to move. I found it difficult not to engage with the burn. Of course, when I say "burn" I really do mean :fireball:.

Well, I would like to focus on the sensation of the burn at the mouth level, or throat (or wherever it burns the most).

When you have done this, do you try to feel the burn or focus on other anchors while ignoring the burn?

WTF? the only zen experience you will encounter is the burn in your butthole after you eat super hots, and it will be the complete opposite of zen. If zen mean you shit your pants and puke on your girlfriend, well, then you just redefined zen.

Cheers!

haha well, I do not do zen, I am into mindfulness staff. I will try with soft peppers so my bu***ole does not go nuclear, currently in the Thai pepper level of tolerance. Thinking about it, I would like to focus on flavor. Will let you know how I go :halo:

After grinding reapers into powder all morning.....I touched Retta in a rather sensitive place during intimate time later that afternoon.....

.....let's just say that she sent me to a higher plane of existence...

Well, I don't know if one of my first experiences with a super hot chili pepper, a couple of months ago, can be defined as "meditation", but it certainly falls into a chain of mental states that are worth reporting to you :fireball:

"The Yorkshire Naga Brown literally transported me to other worlds. Raspberry, blackberry, pomegranate, medlar, walnut, explosive, persistent, and (at least with the first one tasted, which was perhaps too ripe) a horrible bitterness of woods, poison and gentian. And a lot of sweat under the cheekbones, tears.. and yogurt (even with just a few pieces of pepper: the verdict is that me and my friend Fritz who accompanies me in the tasting are not ready yet). On the second less ripe one I felt the fruity notes; the first one instead only showed us the dark side of pepper, also finally transporting us at least in front of the doors of the psychotropic kingdom that my friend Leonida told me about: it really went to my head, like after a drug or wine, the head was light and the effect was narcotic. The cerebral effect was followed by euphoria and hearty laughter. To end with various heartburns from up to down. But above all, what happened at night is the real experience; I couldn't say whether it was connected to the tasting or not, but I experienced my first sleep paralysis: I woke up but I couldn't move my body, not even open my eyes. This happens because the body is still sleeping while the mind is awake, this is a dream/wake transition stage, which so far I was missing in my experiences with lucid dreams. Disturbing paralysis, which must have lasted several seconds, before sinking into an absurd series of nightmares.

I had, I think, the worst nightmare ever, a dark, devastating, epic and apocalyptic nightmare. I and a few other people were suspended in space, with an incredible starry sky, the kind you can only see in the desert. The Earth no longer existed, because it had been destroyed by an alien civilization. The aliens were not visible, but their presence could be perceived from behind as colossal and dark creatures; their dark and booming voices (in the style of the voice of the Egyptian god from the movie Stargate), although not intelligible, clearly conveyed a message to us: our civilization had been destroyed forever, and we had been chosen to cruelly observe the spectacle, before atrocious tortures. In front of us a gigantic Buddha with crossed legs appeared in space, and we understood that it was God, our God of humanity. Two chakras, that of the forehead and that of the belly, began to light up with a glow similar to two white stars, increasingly stronger and more intense. And in the end God imploded. The aliens wanted to show us the spectacle of killing our God. At that point the torture began: even with my eyes closed, I saw a blinding yellow light everywhere, which was pure dull pain, and I shook my head in an attempt to make it go away; lastly, I felt a sort of very strong pinch on my left shoulder, instinctively I tried in vain to remove the hand that was causing me pain. The pain made me wake up."

@SatanicFlatIron, that sounds more like payote to me, lol.
😂 luckily paralysis and nightmares only happened the first time, probably my body wasn't ready for a new drug (capsaicin). I don't even rule out it being a coincidence, but in my opinion some synapses were connected in that experience, which was then reflected during the dream. however, the "light-headed" effect happens to me every time I eat a C. chinense of 200k SHU and above (and it's pretty cool)

A few days ago I was at a picnic with a girl I just introduced to the world of peppers. After some wine we were trying a sugar rush peach. Towards the end of the tasting, she grabbed the top part of the pepper by the stem, which had the placenta and seeds attached. We looked at each other for a few seconds without saying anything.. and she spread the pepper on her lips as if it were lipstick 🤯 I immediately told her: "you are my woman!" 😂
Well the next kissing experience was very intense and the spiciness enveloped my chin even after hours. Luckily (?) that time we didn't go to third base.
Anyway, the other night we were trying other peppers; the atmosphere was meditative: incense, soft lights, sacred Indian music and 4k landscape videos on the TV. During the progressive tasting she had difficulty with the spiciness, and this thread came to mind 🤣 So we started staring at the landscapes in silence, concentrating on music and meditation... and in fact it was pleasant and the spiciness faded a lot. I found the experience interesting, as if the chili pepper added something more to the sensory atmosphere
