HBJ 2015 - Got a box of pepper love in mail today!!!

Just getting this thrown up here so I can do some edits to it as it is shorter than I want it.

Scaling back my supers to one 30 plant raised bed and one 30 plant hab like bed.

annuums, sweets, and misc peppers will go in the back garden.  Since I had 8 rows of hots out there this year and only planning on 2-3 rows next year, it should make more room for other things.  Also scaling back the number of each type of plant I am growing.  Looking at most 2 per plant type, except for the ones in the back garden.

Still haven't narrowed down a number on the sweets yet.

Orange blob and what is suppose to be red mushroom.  I believe I ordered a packet of seeds for the red mushroom.  Not happy with that, but can't wait to try the orange blob.

Orange Blob Habanero.  Great fruity aroma.  Not a really sharp heat when I took a sample of it.  When I ate it in a couple of eggs the heat never rose to any kind of hot level, but I still ended up sweating.  Just a tingle on the tongue.  Saved the seeds.  I believe this pepper to be a keeper.  Many thanks to Greg for sending me a pod last season.

Big sun habanero is pretty good.  The pod I had peaked really fast, but stayed there a while.  First bite I thought I might be in trouble on this one.  But it leveled right off.  Very good pepper.

Much better than last year's seed starts.

Did you start with sets this year? Thinking about it myself for next year. The onions were rather small for me this year from seed.

Finally have a decent amount of poddage to work with.  CGN21500 is loaded, just not ripening very fast.  Going to have to pull up some pics to see what the ripe ones look like.

I had some TS Peach that didn't grow true from the seeds I was sent last season.  Some grew caramel colored pods and some grew small orange pods.  Well I grew out a plant of each and they are loaded.  Will have to taste test these later.

I think I was told the red pimply ones are red MoA pods.  I am so eating one of those tonight.

Got some pods to pick tonight yet too, and looks like my first reapers of the season are ready.

Sorry, I was so busy the weekend wanted to send out a few thank you boxes, but didn't have time or energy to label them, and did so much probably forgot what I meant to remember they were.
But yes, the 6 red bumpy ones in the back are Red MOA.
The 5 or so red pointed ones are from Chocolate Hand Grenade I got from you.  Sounds like you got some also, I thought they were pretty good habanero range pods.
The 4 pointed yellow ones are the other plant from Chocolate Hand Grenade.  Also a nice pepper I though even though not what expected.
The 2 bigger red ones are Large Red Jamaican Hab, I though they were a pretty good not too hot habanero.
The 3 chocolates are the elongated choc bbg7.  These are probably the best chocolates I have had so far.
The other yellow one I think is either a Yellow MOA, but I cannot tell from the picture.  If its wider than it is tall, kinda shaped like the reds a little it might be the yellow pheno I got from a red MOA plant.  If it is, I loved this thing.  They are my favorite of the MOAs even though it probably isn't one.  Big meaty tasty hot pods.   Hoping saved seeds will produce this again, even though probably not.  I might try to clone some of these see if I can keep something growing over the winter.

Thanks for the poddage love....will be trying a red moa tomorrow and will be saving some seeds.  My red hand grenades are huge.  They were either a cross from the garden of the pod supplier, or the variety isn't stable.  Either way they are some tasty pods.

My cgn21500 is loaded beyond belief.  Pretty poddage and nice taste.

The first not TS Peach - Caramel pod I tried the other day didn't have a lot of heat to it.  Will try them again as they are pretty neat looking pods.

My BMJ nots that were red last year are throwing yellow pods this year.

Hope to get some picking and pics done tomorrow after squirrel hunting.

Introduced a friend in NY to Donne Sali.....here is his response.

So I just ate one of these to see what it was all about. Very deceiving. That lil bastard was hot
