1 can diced tomatoes
1 can chili beans (dump sauce in there too)
1 can light red kidney beans
1 can tomato paste
1 LB Hamburger (I used lean 95/5)
1 teaspoon Cumin
1/4 cup chili powder
1 Large onion
1 Green pepper
1 Jalapeno with seeds
10 Thai peppers with seeds
1 ghost pepper no seeds
Salt to taste
1st off just about every time I cook I never write down the recipe. Every year my chili is different. Some Hot, some no meat, some more soupy, and this year I with hearty!
1. Brown the meat.
2. I have a really good blender where I basically cut the onion in 4's and add in a quarter at a time. puree the onion so there is almost no chunks. Then add in peppers. Just give that a little blend just to chop it up a bit.
3. After the meat is starting to turn brown start warming up the beans, tomatoes, tomato paste, cumin and chili powder. Then add the stuff in the blender. **move head away from stove since this stuff is like tear gas! Once the meat is brown add the meat to the pot. Mix everything good then serve.
Taste- It is hot but not so much to make you sweat. But pretty darn close! Enjoy
