Hello everyone

Hello everyone, this is my first post on the first Forum I have ever joined.
Although I am new, I feel that I have at least some experience to offer, and am excited to learn as much as possible from all the knowledgeable people here @ The Hot Pepper.
(if anyone has any tips for a total forum newb please let me know)

Now i'll attempt a short introduction...
Well after discovering this place last year, and realizing that there is more pepper related information here than anywhere else I have found, I decided that I have been "lurking" (I think that's the term) long enough. So here I am typing my first post.

Although I have grown various peppers for the last 4 years here in ZONE4, I have been gardening as long as I can remember, yet this is the first year that I started Peppers from seed (mostly seed from Pepperlover, but also from some seeds saved from plants I grew that I purchased from Cross Country Nurseries, a couple local trades, and 1 from newleafchilipepper)

Another reason I decided to finally join the community here is, I have become kind of obsessed with PEPPERS, and all things HOT really.
I grew 6 Pepper plants last year. This year I am growing 24 different Peppers. (some I have 1/2 dozen seedlings of)  plus 3 Overwinters.

Now while I like most things HOT, Flavor is where it's really @ for me.  If anyone has any recomendations for uncommon especially flavorfull Hot Peppers let me know

Thank you.
I have seen several of Nigels reviews, in fact his reviews may have been how I first stumbled upon this wonderful place to begin with. (I should thank him for that if I see him on here)

I just added Bahamian Goat, CGN21500, and a CGN21500 x 7 Pod Barrackpore  to my: Seeds wanted List

Welcome from Romania!

Too bad for those helmet head plants, but for the future you could try to save such plants. You have to moist the helmet (you can use something small, like ear buds, or a small piece of cotton), repeat this few times to get the helmet as moist as you can, and remove it when is softer.

Thanks for the tip,  I tried moistening the Helmet heads with water droplets a couple times a day, but those black Rocoto seeds are so hard it didn't help, I'll try a piece of cotton next time.

:welcome:  to the THP forums! This could not be a better forum to join for your first forum either! Great choices in seed selection- I also would put my recommendation with the Bahamian Goats & the CGN21500. For more heat + flavor - the Yellow 7 pot are a great option, Red Brainstrain, or Scorpions (Red Moruga or Butch T.) The Burgundy 7 Pots are another that comes to mind.. taste great - a bit honey/caramel like-  but have even less heat than other 7 pots, so that may be a better option to more easily progress into higher heat. Best of luck!
