Hello! I just ran across this forum looking for video clips on how to properly clone hot pepper plants. This looks like a site I might get a lot of information from! To introduce myself I just started gardening last year. I put up four (4) 4x8 raised garden beds and followed square foot gardening techniques for nothing but hot peppers (jalapenos, serannos, habenaros, anaheim chilis, poblanos, and bhut jolokia). I got quite a few jalapenos and serannos but not much of anything else. My habenaros bed got repeated fungus infections and pretty much slowed that bed to a halt. The grow season was too short for any of the bhut jolokia. I got several anaheims and poblanos.
All in all, my garden wasn't a complete success but I was happy with what I got. This year I plan on doing much better - although we are going to include other veggies besides hot peppers. I just wanted to get my feet wet.
Now, what I've been doing all winter is I started a hydroponics DWC system in my garage to keep some of the bhut jolokia alive. I'm hoping to get a jump start on the growing season so I can get 2-3 of these plants this year.
