HELP..... problems with a 4 legged little critter

OK, we were college students...

We use to play a game we called Mousetrap. Not the Milton Bradley game, but one with a real mouse trap. The idea was to see who could stack the last penny or dime on the trip lever and remove their fingers before it went off.

It probably didn't hurt that we were usually quite drunk when playing!

My buddies dog got one the other day. We were taking care of it while he was out of town and had just laid out fresh traps. He found one under the bed and licked the bait. I give him credit because he didn't yelp, but he didn't stop licking his tongue for about 20 minutes after either. Had to push that one back a little further so he couldn't get at it again.

It's funny what games we come up with that involve getting drunk:drunk:

Bummer dude, i'm sure he will be a bit weary in the future now.

poor puppy dogs....I bet he thinks twice from now on...what is they say, once burnt, twice shy?

Try the bucket trick, it always works well for me. Get a 5 gallon bucket and 1/4 fill it with water or antifreeze, then find a way to suspend or float some peanut butter in a way that it won't sink when the mouse does. Mice can't see well and will almost always go for the bait and drown. If you have lots of mice, or can't check the bucket often then you can use antifreeze to eliminate smells, I've seen a dozen+ dead mice in one bucket. Also make it easy for them to climb the outside of the bucket by making a ramp or placing next to a wall

thats evil Derek...roflmao

I've have similar experience with mice going into the garbage can. They'd be getting into all the left over chips and stuff, but after I emptied the trash they'd get caught and couldn't get out. Got three of them that way and flushed them all.

Google "bucket mouse trap", lots of images. Use a wire or dowel to suspend a can or bottle over the bucket. Make sure the bottle or can can spin freely.

Be very careful if using antifreeze (poison) if there are any other animals around.
