Hey from Madison, WI

I may not have chosen the best name for this forum. This is the first season I have grown Bhut Jolokia peppers and I can't wait (or maybe I can) to try them. When I bought the seeds, I got one dried Bhut and had to try a bit of it straight. Holy cow!!!!!!!

My son is a chef at a restaurant and he used up the rest of it in some recipes.

I have a couple of dozen green Bhuts on right now, and they are still blooming like crazy. I hope my Habaneros catch up.

Thanks for the welcome.
Grillcheese, did you try them straight?

Rooze, beautiful country up by you. We love to visit Door County when we can.

Hey Bhut Man.....next time you're in DC, hit the Peninsula Pub on hwy E/A - he has a "hot and spicy" theme going on with a hot wing challenge, some great 9 pepper chili and some really good bottled hot sauce. Just tell Kyle the chef that 'the English guy sent you' and you'll get some extra kicked-up nosh!

I will definitely do that rooze. Just the thought of 9 pepper chile is making me hungry.

I have several Bhuts that are 3 1/2" long and looking very mean, and one plant (I have 8 total) has over 20 Bhuts set with more blooms each day. I can't wait until they start to ripen. I may be flopping on the floor in pain, but as they say. No pain, No gain.
