I had good luck with the Lemon Drops this year too. Just about the only ones that actually thrived during the wretched summer heat.
 
Welcome from north Texas (Denton)! I feel ya' on the late start. The Jolokia have such a long growing season you really have to go balls deep as early as possible. Mine didn't start flowering till fairly late, I haven't had a chance to taste a ripe pod yet. Lot of luck!!
