Hi from West virginia, USA

Hi

, I've been here a few times over the last month.  I found It while searching for a candied habanero recipe. Which through no fault of the posters here, I managed to thoroughly screw up.

While here I looked around, and liked all the other information here as well. So decided to register.

Are you growing any peppers right now? If so, what varieties?

Awesome username, btw...

I have room for around 24 plants. This year I planted 18 habanero, and 6 Hungarian wax peppers. Hungarians were eaten  as soon as ripe, and habaneros are almost gone already.

One of the things I want to accomplish here is to find an honest source of superhot pepper seeds.Maybe 24 of the superhot plants will last me all year.

I like my name too. Since I thought of it, I use a version of it everywhere.  I can always add or subtract "a"s and "r"s  if someone has taken my normal one.  Usually I use aarrgh when available...not sure why I went with arrgh here :)

:welcome: from california thos how i got here too after months of lurking in the shadows decided to become a member :D glad i did

I didn't see anything I wanted for sale there. I don't have seeds for a train, or a swap, and probably post count would be an issue too.

In the market place I saw sadisticpeppers.com.  Their prices seem ok, but am I likely to get the right seed from them?   I've read to much about ebay sellers, and amazon sellers scamming people that I'm afraid to order from anywhere ;)

They have 7Pot “Douglah” and trinidad sporpion moruga in stock. I could get by with them.  But would keep eye open for carolina reaper or one of the other hot varieties. Their trinidad scorpion moruga is listed as red, yellow, or chocalate. I've only seen the red before. Is there a preferred color? and is there enough difference to get two different ones?

They had a good assorted supperhot sfrb, but its out of stock right now.  If it comes back in stock, or in general if someone else puts a sfrb of pods, do they usually come with viable seeds?  That would be way better since I could taste the pepper first, before deciding how many to plant, and would have way more seeds to plant extra in case some didn't grow.

Any other websites that I can count on getting what I order. Maybe with  a bigger selection than saddisticpeppers.com?

Hello and  :welcome:  to THP

sadisticpeppers is here on THP and is trustworthy and good people. Some others are http://www.pepperlover.com Judy is awesome with tons of varieties, http://www.buckeyepepper.com Mike and Jen are great, there's also puckerbutt run by Ed Currie the guy who created the reaper as well as Jungle Rain, Hippy Seed company, Ford's Fiery Foods and Plants. All are reliable and trustworthy places for seeds. If you're looking for plants http://www.chileplants.com has a huge selection and are a great company I used for years.

Greetings from Colorado!

I like to get seeds for less exotic varieties from The Chile Pepper Institute in Las Cruces - they are "the only international, non-profit organization devoted to education and research related to Capsicum."  They have Hab's, Ghost, Scorpion's and such as well as a large selection of other varieties and New Mexican pod types of which I am a fan (especially their "Heritage" line of NuMex varieties). Your money also goes to support the program: http://www.chilepepperinstitute.org/

As for the more exotic types, I have had acceptable results from Pepper Joe's: http://www.pepperjoe.com/

... and I just ordered some seeds from Fatalii - I will get back to you with the results when/if I get them! http://fataliiseeds.net/

Just got my shipment from Judy. She hooked me up with a several extra. All goodies. Not I'm beginning to have a hard time deciding what to grow. My list is growing fast. Hope my yard has enough room. Good luck growing.
