Ate another Tepin x Lemondrop today.

I noticed the pods are not shaped uniformly on the plant.  I have a couple that are much bigger than the others.

Plant is podding up well.

Cut my pod in half and gently removed just the seeds.  Not a lot of seeds in these pods.

Ate the first half and it had more kick than the last pod I ate.  Heat a little on the inside of the lips and just on the top of the tongue.  Didn't last long and wasn't very potent.  Had some sweet taste to it.

Popped the second half and it had a lot more kick to it.  Inside of lips and under the tongue.  On this half I got the rain forest, starfish, bishop kind of flavor with the heat.

Next time I am going to have to pop the entire pop and see how it goes.

Saving seeds as I am thinking this one is a winner.  Might even have to OW this plant as well.

In other news, I have another manzano pod on and the first one is looking ready, but I am holding off.  This is from the plant I started in October.  The December two plants are flowering like mad, so I am hoping they pod soon and throw yellow pods.

Got some more pod porn.

I must say that everything is loving being out in the dirt.  All is putting on new growth.  Tomatoes are 100% better and darker than when I planted them out.  Peppers are healing from their sunburn.  Onions are taller than my knee already.  Eating kale, spinach, lettuce, chard on a daily basis.  I've eaten so many greens that when a hawk flew over, I ducked into the garage.

Just potted up a couple extra plants into three gallon pots....Tierra and a rojo limo.

Cooler weather and rain has really helped the plants out.

Even have some tomatoes setting.

Well, three straight nights in the 50s and one of those hit 48 degrees.  Not what the peppers wanted.  Just a bit yellow now.

Tomatoes are going crazzzzzy.  Thin lanky light green stems are now dark green thick bushy plants.  Sun sugars have tomatoes on them already.

Spinach is trying to bolt on me.  Can't seem to eat this stuff fast enough.

The garden looks great. My neighbor swears by the tire stacking with potatoes. He says you keep stacking and adding dirt as they grow. Those tomatoes look like there about to bolt. Nice healthy looking omelet.
