Dredged me some chicken in some tangerine powder and served on a garlic bun.  Tangerine flavor didn't shine through like I thought it might.  Going to have to look elsewhere for my fruit flavor I guess.

Making a fall till run on the front garden and the drive belt breaks on the tiller.  Hopefully it isn't too much of a pain to change.  At least I can get at this belt much easier than in my old truck.

Did you get the belt replaced?  I'll be breaking out my tiller in a few days for the first time in two years.  I hope it starts.

Picked up the belt yesterday after work but it was snowing when I got home and it is still snowing.  Didn't think it would stick but it has.  That was my excuse any way lol

First snow in Ohio today too. Sat in a traffic jam for an hour this morning because people forgot how to drive with 1" on the ground.

Going down to 22 deg tonight.

It's below freezing here, now, but the first hard freeze is coming tonight.

I don't think there has been a hard freeze here yet as the rose is still blooming.

Luckily I leave for work before 5 unless I am getting OT, then I leave before 3.  So there isn't too much traffic at that time.  Downside is leaving that early the plows in this county might not have run yet lol.
My MoA are starting to come around with the new potting soil and me paying more attention to water.

As it turned out, it didn't frost here last night, and tonight's predicted low keeps rising with every update.  Still, I'll be surprised if any of the remaining outside peppers survive the night.

All this snow talk has me scared, we had 36°, which is a cold Nov. morning for us. That's January weather.

Sawyer this pertains to your post..
A note about today's alcohol enhanced fuels; alcohol is hygroscopic and it just stinks for a fuel additive. Not only does it grow stuff in a carb just sitting there because of the moisture it gathers, the fuel has a very short shelf life. Like 30 days. I've moved to using a stabilizer. It helps, but when I had trouble with my mower and the crud that was in the carb could not have went through the filter. I determined it grew there, probably an algae. But it turned into a powder that clogged it. So I guess the only solution is to run the engines every so often.

Maybe our Government will snap to their senses and quit supplementing the production of corn based fuels, I can't see how 90 cents spent to make a dollar of fuel is the way to go. I learned a lot about fuels as a fuel and emission tech for many years...and I think they're out of their minds...OK end of rant :D

Hope those OW's look that good come spring Jeff!

They might be a tad too tall..

Nice over winter pic. They are doing nicely. Should give you a heck of a head start in the spring.

Got your powder, great stuff. In case you missed it, your official "thank you" was over in my glog.

Why might they be a bit too tall?  I thought as long as the roots matched the tops they would be fine.  They seem to be thriving in the conditions I have them in.  The primo has put a new branch out that is already 3 inches long.  I may have to cut their light back even more.

I did miss it.  I will have to check it out.  Not sure if I sent you the burgundy powder or the straight pepper medley I just smoked.

Oh they look really, really happy, but based upon what I've read everyone says roots and tops should be the same. In the pics the tops look 1.75 to 2.0 times the roots in height. Maybe it's a picture deception...

And I only mentioned that after reading Pic 1's and Guru's stuff. Don't go by what I say...go with your gut.

Oh, yeah, I've dealt with the alcohol issue before.  My understanding is that it strips the thin varnish layer (deposited by alcohol-free gas) off the carb parts, then the dissolved water oxidizes the bare aluminum.  It's the aluminum oxide that clogs everything up.  (It's white, so if what you had was green, it probably was algae.)  And being aluminum oxide, it will ruin the piston rings if enough gets into the cylinders.  Not to mention the alcohol destroys any rubber or plastic lines that aren't specifically made to tolerate it.  I only run alcohol-free fuel in my small engines now.  I also like to use it when traveling because it gives me a greater range between fuel stops.  The improved mileage almost justifies the higher cost even driving locally, but not quite.

Gotta add the Pimenta De Neyde Bhut cross to my list.  Funny how these lists keep growing!

Got the tiller belt replaced.  Wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be,  Was able to till the front garden.  Missed the kale too.
