Greetings Chili Heads!
Long time lurker, first time poster. I've only been growing "real" peppers for a few years and have been following the antics of this site for the last 2 years. All of you are awesome and I have learned so much! Thank you!
Several years ago, I was unceremoniously removed from my job of nearly 15 years and since I had a bunch of time on my hands, I decided to get serious about chilies and built a small greenhouse in my back yard. It's only 10x12 but it's enough space to grow a dozen chilies and tomato plants every year. Enough to keep the salsa lady (wife) happy anyway. Oh yeah, with the exception of the greenhouse film, it's all made from recycled materials!
Prior to the greenhouse, I've grown your HD garden variety of pepper but soon found myself seeking out and preferring the super-hots and not so common varieties. I've always been a chili head and love spicy foods. My dad taught me to eat jalapenos and hot wax peppers when I was a little boy and that love of peppers has always stuck with me.
The contributions of everyone here has taught me so much and now, it's time to give back if I can. No more voyeurism. I want to play!
Cheers and Beers!
