has any seen donald the homeless man from sarasota , fl play the piano ? seen him on the news last night , the man has raw talent !  also a  veteran . as a ol' drummer this man is awesome and has no business being homeless !
 
Unfortunately the best he can hope for as is, is someone offering him a semi-regular gig in a bar/restaurant/hotel lobby.
I know many classically trained full time musicians with AMAZING talent and life is a grind for them. Supporting yourself with music has more to do with luck and hard work than it does with talent.
 
he's going to continue to be in the spotlight long enough for a positive change to come from this, because we have a multi-year long topical discussion of the homeless downtown ongoing here.
 
you know, specialists coming to town and telling the board what they should do, city and county fighting over footing the bill etc, and the kind of bs that always goes on over anything controversial ...
 
i've been outside, nearby, when nobody was paying much attention to him ... and that was the best playing of all.
