Seeking a pepper, thick walled and round like a hot cherry, but hotter.

Basically, a sandwich pepper for a chilihead. :)

TBOMK it is thick walled for the purpose you have in mind. We used to use these for south Indian cooking especially for tempering.

A possibility. Very thick walled and round (or bell?), decent heat. A little bigger than I want, but maybe... thanks! Got a pic sliced open?

I can do that with my nagas sure. I want to try a new sandwich pepper though not infuse a cherry.

Same shape, but don't know if they are thick walled. You say "fairly".

Any more? The thicker the wall the better, so when you slice it, there is a lot of flesh and little space in the center. Dense is a good word. And hot!!!
 
Manzano have black hard seeds that should be removed before eating. Not sure I want to do that.

Probably thin walled since it's usually dried.
 
I have had cobaneros, they're not very hot but they're an excellent flavor, reasonably thick walled, and similar or slightly smaller than a hot cherry.

I also have Bod'e (I believe that's how it's spelled) peppers. They're hotter than a hot cherry, but only slightly so. If they ever make peppers again I'll get some seeds.
 
Thanks, how would you rate the heat of cobanero? Cherry is pretty mild. I heard cobanero was like a hab.
