Besides ethanol, is there a better organic solvent to use for extracting the oil?

I know this is an old thread, but if anyone is still interested, check out my post and upcoming advanced posts in hot sauce making. The upcoming post will mention other solvents and ways to get closer to pure cap. I'll outline a way to get cap but that is quite involved and its actually easier to synthesize than isolate. So you're better off just buying it...
