hot sauce label

Sure, Making Hot Sauce is Fun. So is Growing Your Own Peppers. Why not go one step further? I found a lot of my family and friends requesting bottles of my sauce after trying it, so I figured why not whip up a label to slap on the bottles before I gave them away haha :)

Anyone else do this? Post up photos!

Those Labels look good Mary! I would just include the Ingredients on them. I personally enjoy reading the ingredients.

Thanks--and good point!  That won't be hard with the Louisiana-style sauce--it's a pretty simple recipe and I should be able to make all the ingredients fit along the side.  The tropical one will be more of a challenge--it's going to have a lot more stuff in it!  I have a list of peppers and fruits that I want to use, but what makes it into the final mix is going to depend on what's available when I make it.  I might try putting the ingredients on a separate, smaller label and sticking that on the back of the bottles.

Uh-oh, does this mean all the pictures posted years ago are no longer visible??????

sheesh, that's like in the realm of online social media schtuff....I can't even figure out how to FaceTime.

And I had been noticing the blank images things but figured it was from accounts that were long inactive.  Can I re-download all the images I posted ot PB (since a lot of them got deleted from the laptop) without paying the ransom?

Honestly Ann, I still haven't figured out any rhyme or reason to which pics they "allow" you to keep. I had all of mine in albums. I can re-save 20, 30, even 40pics in a row.....then....BAM! I hit a block of 10 or 20 that I'm not even "allowed" to see anymore. And they're MY pics! Ughh....

Haha! Trading in commissary Ramen noodles for Q-tips to melt Jolly Ranchers in the electrical outlet with a paper clip for Pure Evil lollipops

(Too far? Don't ask me how I know.....)

OH!  That's Good!   Can I post that on the website under Recipe Suggestions?

OK- off to PB to check what's up or not.....

Boss, I gotta say that just having the option to post pics directly is soooooo worth the X-membership.  I'd key up for it anyway just to keep the site up and running.  To have the photo posting benefits is 'YUUGE'!!!

Where does everyone do their labels? Need a place thats cheaper than where ive priced and that looks better than what i do lol

Mine are pretty much DIY.  My hot sauces and other canning projects are strictly a hobby--I make them for fun, and for holiday gifts.  I'm also not a professional designer (as you could guess!) but I do the label designs in Adobe InDesign.  I fumble a lot, but in the end I can usually turn out something presentable.  Most of the artwork is clip art (I did get an artistic friend to do a couple of illustrations for me--I'm paying him in hot sauce and raspberry jam!)  I'm printing them at home on my inkjet printer.  I bought some weatherproof inkjet labels from https://www.onlinelabels.com/.%C2 They're not cheap, but they look great and hold up well--no runny, smeared ink when it gets damp.  I'm not making so much of the stuff, so a package of labels will last me through a few batches.
