Leave them in there propagation cell and wrap the bottom in plastic. 3 of them will fit in a sfrb.Devil Created Pods said:I've started extra seeds this year, and i think I'm going to try and sell off the extras to cut the cost of the grow, my question is, how do you guys package the plants to be shipped?
well, which would you want to buy? let me know how much you would pay for that.Chewi said:Do you mean seedlings like at Home Depot or the little twigs that some people sell bare root?
well for the size of babies that would fit three or four in a SFRB like Sicman sells $20 is about right. I'd be willing to pay a bit more for established plants similar in size to the japs and such that come in 3in pots though.juanitos said:well, which would you want to buy? let me know how much you would pay for that.
I gave away well over one hundred mature producing plants this year and all I asked for in return was to bring back my root pouches at the end of the season. So far I have received only a couple of my pouches back.smokemaster said:My Extras go to whoever wants to come get them.
I do like people who come to pick stuff up with replacement pots (4 1/2 inch pots)or at least something - not empty hands.
Empty hands suck.
Don't consider coming by with my original pots as a + while getting another 20+ plants/large starts.
I do give away several large plants too.
Most of my extras are stuff vendors don'tr sell anymore.
I NEVER charge $ .
I DO expect respect.
If you think I'm an ass, deal with it.
The stuff I give away is stuff that is either varieties you have no clue about , are bigger than ANY start anyone sells and or is pure rather than most trades these days that are seeds from pods that were bought for powders, not for seeds, but the purchaser traded the seeds to get what they wanted.

I think buying plants from members is cool if you don't want to take the time propagating them yourself, but I think that is half the fun of it. Now if you had a plant I could not get seed for and I really wanted it this season, price would be of little consequences.
