Identifying Pepper Species.

Could anyone tell me what are the various traits to look for when Identifying Pepper Species.
Is their a good book available about this? or where can I find the info on the web?
i.e.. Comparisons between leaf shape, flower description, growth pattern, pod growth per nodes, etc etc...
 
There was a post here that contained a classification method. The search isn't finding older posts for some reason. It had a good step by step method. There's descriptions of the big 5 at this site:

Most types are pretty easy to identify, but I have a hard time distinguishing annuum from frutescens
