IMPORTANT NEWS: Passow's Out

Well the year of hell has hit a glorious crescendo. The place that I am living in will no longer be here come the first of January (person is renting the whole place and doesn't know what he's doing so the real estate agent he hired is jerking him around and he's kicking us all out). It's stupid but there's nothing I can do about it.

This was the only thing that was really holding me in LA. So come the 22nd of December I am driving all the way back to good old Cleveland, Ohio. I will be taking care of my mom who just got a shoulder replacement and come April, I may be going to White Oak farms to do organic farming on a commune until October.

I'll be off and on the boards for the next two weeks and then I'm off. I'll post when I get to Cleveland. Unfortunitly, this probably means no Fiery Foods Show for me…gaaahh!!!!

: pulls hair out :

I am currently boxing up all my stuff, selling 70% of it, shipping my cloths back to Cleveland, and getting my car set for the move. I'll be driving my 1993 Buick Skylark which has no heat or AC. I am going to order a little unit that attaches directly to the battery of the car but I may have to have someone get it through the fire wall for me.....

IGG...Dude...sounds like a good/bad thang'. Sorry to here your mom is off the Browns starting lineup at QB. Wishing her a speedy recovery. One question....what will happen to all your pepper plants, especially those pequins? You could leave them all behind as a lasting monument to your LA legacy or douse them all with gas and burn in effagy thus symbolizing your disdain for the beaujois rental apparatchik machine. Organic farming commune? Hope its not an offshoot of Charlie Manson's Spawn Ranch. Make sure you get out of there pronto if you here talk about "going to meet the mothership".
Cheers and best of luck bro! TB.

wow you've had some bad luck this year, lets just hope it dont get any worse, good luck to ya.

months ago I remember saying to you " I bet you'll move back to ohio to be closer to your parents " & you said NOPE ohio is dead I'm not moving back there, well I guess you're eating your words now

I would of said bring your chile plants with you for the trip but since no working heater makes it tough to keep plants alive for a winter trip. whatcha ya gonna do about your special plants ? ;)

is that commune in ohio ?

Thanks for the comments everyone. Ya, the plants are staying here in LA (going to give some away and leave the rest). I'll be able to grow in Ohio if I'm around for the summer season.

Commune is in Oregon. As for the special plants, I harvested those in October and they are all dead now. Luckally, I harvested 8 ounces (street value of $3,200) and will be selling it to a local medical place probably for $2,000. This way my efforts go to help other patients. I can't travel with that stuff.

Oh geez. I'm sorry.

You'll be leaving LA on the Winter Solstice, though, leaving the darkest part of the year behind you. Burn a bit a sage or sprinkle a bit of sea salt and spring water for cleansing just before you get in the car, and leave all the bad luck and hard times there. Nothing but good times and hot, hot, hot peppers in front of you!

Good wishes coming your way!

Good luck John. You'll do fine man. That's an honorable thing taking care of your Ma. I'm sure the good karma will come in handy.

(edit to add)

When you titled this thread "PASSOW"S OUT" . I thought you meant something else...not that there's anything wrong with that. ;)

Don't worry. I've got a huge bundle of Sage that I was thinking of burning right before I left. Sea salt and spring water I've never heard of though, please inform me of this more! Feed me knowledge!

As for "Passow's Out" thing that Chuk Hell mentioned........I think I got the reference and since I can't take that stuff with me....yes, soon I will be out ;)

I feel for you, especially the part about having to move to Cleveland. (I'm from Cincy so I'm sure you understand!).

Dress warmly for the trip. I bought a new car not long before I left Louisville, KY and had to drive it to Ripley (about a three hour drive) in weather that was a tad colder than this. A nice time to find the heater didn't work at all and though I survived, I got a whopper of a cold three days later.

It's to represent the Four Elements: Air, Earth, Water, Fire. Burning the sage covers Air and Fire, sea salt represents Earth, and obviously spring water represents Water. If I'm remembering correctly, for a cleansing ceremony, you sprinkle the spring water and sea salt for grounding and emotional cleansing, then light the sage for purifying and mental clarity.

Got the long john ready bub! I bypassed the heater because it was overheating and I could'nt affor the price to fix it. i thought...when will I need a heater in LA........oops! So now I just baught a heater on amazon that hooks directly into the batter (cars create way to much excess energy) and will warm me up for the trip! Ya!

Dig. So basically I open the doors right before I leave, sprinkles some sea salt and spring water (I think I'll just spray it on so it doesn't get moldy) around the inside(?) of the car and then light the sage and use in my usual energy clearing practice?

Sorry to hear man. Have a safe trip back, between the weather, driving fatigue, and crazy holiday shopping drivers; you got a dangerous road ahead of you.

Take care man.

Just chew a Naga every 10 miles...nobody will stop you

So chapter 38 para 14b in the IGG book - good luck on your travels mate, don't be surprised if the commune has issues with your bovi-phobia.

I ate my first Naga tonight in honor of your journey. Be good & PM me if you ever need *any* seeds when you get to where-ever it is you feel that you can plant them.

Let us know how you're traveling

Not a big deal if you can';t make it to the Fiery Foods show, dude. You'll be right around the corner from the Weekend of Fire show at Jungle Jim's in Ohio in August.

IGG, sorry to hear of your misfortune. Unbeknownst to us there is a reason for this happening. Who knows, you may run into a collosal pepper commune in New Mexico when you come through.

How about it DD, any pepper communes close to you?

Im sorry to hear of your misfortune IGG..growing up I was always told everything happens for a reason...Maby it was intended for you to take care of your mom or theres something more prosperous in the roads ahead...thats the adventure part of it lol..The big move and selling stuff you cherish..that sucks.I moved up here alot of stuff wasnt sold but thrown out not by my choice so I can kinda know how you feel on that aspect.on the heatercore part for your car im still trying to ponder that one..Ive worked on cars for years and worse case scenerio if its plugged solid you just get no heat..(unless it was leaking then you would loose prestone and that would cause overheating)sometimes you take the lines off and get your gardenhose and do a reverse flush and voila you get heat back..Im going to ask my cousin on that one...hes a class A mechanic..Either way Buicks are a very reliable car for the most part so im thinking you will make it there in one piece but good luck on the trip im thinking you dont have snow tires so be carefull when you hit the white stuff and man good luck on your journey
