Incoming summer polar vortex!!!!

Hey everyone, just a heads up there's another "polar vortex" coming next week.  Temperatures across Canada and the Northern states may get as low as 40ºF (4.4ºC).  Not enough to kill your plants but may cause flower, pod,  and leaf drop!  If you have container plants it might not be a bad idea to bring them in for a few nights.

Looks like it'll hit the Houston area too. Temperatures are supposed to drop from just below 100 to 93 or so. ;)
Yeah I'm not too worried about it here in VA but I'll probably get some flower drop XD.  I'm thinking we might get down to like 60ish here.  The past week has been awful with that weak hurricane and a lot of cooler rainy temps.  Most of my plants aren't even producing pollen and I lost every one of the buds and tiny pods on one of my reapers...pretty upset.

Yeah suppose to to get down to a low of 54 next Wednesday here in Michigan...I will leave them be if it's only one night but if it sticks around I will move them indoors at night...

This is true, they have droped flowers. But, the plants really grow with these conditions (besides the wind).

Yea its in the forecast to hit over 100 here where I am. Looks like I will be watering ever day on them days.

I'm from Knoxville originally and now live in Clarksville.  Not sure if you get used to it,  you just put up with it.

I can see it both ways.  You get used to it in the fact that when you go somewhere else with high heat but no humidity it feels awesome.  Especially if there is a breeze.

That is very true

I love how the weather man changes his story from day to day...I'm in Michigan mind you so you would think we would be getting slammed by this "polar vortex" ....yeah right ..I equate this to the terrorism threat level colors they used years ago on CNN etc..fear mongering mofos...

Business as usual next week bet on it lol...maybe it will get in the mid 50's at night for us, maybe...

Polar Vortex of Doom!!!

Oh, how I despise the fecking useless new media.  :banghead:

It's a slightly unusual jet pattern, but nothing more.  Enjoy the cool weather!

I will certainly agree here, when I lived in new mexico, even when it was 110 it felt like 85-90 here in the south, and trust me I've lived in CA,MA,NM,TN,OR,NV,LA,VA,MD,FL,GA,SC,NC, and if I haven't lived in a state I've visited it(except for Alaska and Hawaii) so I can pretty much speak on the weather anywhere in the country! The only bitch of dry heat is you never know when you're getting sunburned til its too late, and out in the desert of N, AZ, NV, if you don't drink copious amounts of water your hands and feet can dry out and crack severely, til they bleed it happened to me once, never again, now even in the deep south I drink copious amount as of water! :D
Wow, perhaps I've had one too many beers, my spelling is getting bad or maybe its just my typing ;)
