Instruments?

Goldtop yes.

'07 '54 Reissue.

Wraptail.

'56 has a bridge and tail piece.

I like to make jokes about bass players.

But they're just jokes.

Drummers make their own jokes.

Keyboard players on the other hand.

You can't live with those people.

I'm sure they tried. I had a '76 reissue of the '58 Explorer. It eventually found it's way into Mr. Gibbons collection, but not via me. Now they make a reissue of the '76 reissue...

And now everybody knows the depth of my vintage guitar knowledge...

As you likely noticed, so do I.

I do like to think so. It saves a lot of pain for people with just that one feeling left....

Bass players are always in demand.  Guitar players grow on trees.  I actually switched to Bass over a year ago out of a local need, but still play the guitar. All strings are good!

'56 Goldtop, TB? Even Duane Allman only had a '57.

I'm only a lowly bass player, so no, I don't play an instrument.

I sure do enjoy not doin' it though...

I have that one too!

(The little Fender Champion, not the good stuff lol. Actually the Champion is a real nice amp for low volume clean tones and can do overdrive with a better speaker just fine)

First electric was a sunburst LP standard. Used to just stare at that guitar. Then I got into P90s and bought a Japanese version (Edwards) of a 54 Black Beauty Custom, great guitar. Lately I've been more into Telecasters, this is the only pic I have of any of them.

PS - what kind of dumb shit forum doesn't allow png or jpg pics to be posted?

It's the forum's fault you can't figure out how to post pics?

A Tele with a B5 is awesomenessess.

I just don't have one.

Yet.

JHC...

I removed the speaker baffle from the 600.

It was a tone sucker.

But it really needs a better speaker.

It sounds okay in the low channel but a decent pedal helps out tremendously.

I use a SansAmp Tweed and it sounds killer late at night and the wee wee hours.

The High channel is terrible.

It sounds like tag team 400 pound fat ladies farting after a 3 day binge on beans, beer, and chili dogs.

The circuit itself is the problem.

They should have put in a 5y3 tube for a rectifier instead of the .19 cent transistor crap and used an 8" Weber Alnico.

But for what I use it for it serves its purpose and only use it when mrs. blues is home.

The other amps in the room are stone cold heart breakers and home wreckers.

Main problem as far as I can tell is the speaker. I had the same problem as you and replaced the stock speaker and tubes with a Weber 6" Signature and JJ's and all of a sudden the breakup was actually musical and not flabby trash. I agree an 8" would have been a much better choice regardless (thats what she said!)

Your other amps are way sexier though.  :P
