Crossing the state Line into South Carolina

They picked up their tickets to get into the Auditions

and this morning the line to get in:

She cant take any pictures on inside the staidum but she said that they sat down and their seats are on the 4th row from the top.

I'll keep the updates coming as I get them.

Well, she got her audition about 5:30 last night and it was a no. Not because she wasn't good enough or was too nervious or anything, she just didn't fit the little "Box" of exactly what they were looking for. She was a little bummed but glad for the experience. Mom took her out for one of her favorite meals and today they're going to stop for a visit with Grandma, and a little G'ma pampering

It sucks she didn't make but I'm really proud of her for having the courage to put herself out there and take the chance. Thanks everyone for the prayers and support. She said in a Facebook post that with all of the great support she received from everyone everywhere she wasn't nervious at all during the whole adventure.

Well, good for her for giving it a go, but it's not the end if she wants to sing. All she has to do is make her own "box" and go for it.

That stinks. It was a learning experience for her, I hope she can find some positives to take from it. She's got more self confidence than I do that's for sure.

Those shows are pretty scripted in the sense that they are looking for stories more than talent. It's all about getting stuff for people to watch - and people like watching train wrecks alongside manipulated underdog stories as it turns out. So, it's good that she realizes that it wasn't about how good she sang, but rather that it's just about television... Anyway, I think probably just the experience and the adventure alone are worth the whole thing. That's what she'll remember years from now - imo, the road trip, the adventure. That sort of thing. Good for her for giving it a shot!

Sum, you may have to post pics of Bear, that guy, passing out lollipops...instead of just passing out......

This is not good. He has been arrested before for similar behavior...

JayT has it semi-correct... Bear was caught sleeping on a pile of lollipops in a white utility van with blacked out windows and expired tags. The van was impounded, Bear lumbered off into the woods.

Good for you for supporting her dreams Rocket. That's an awesome adventure to go on and you're a great dad for facilitating it.

She's a gorgeous young lady & sounds like she has a great head on her shoulders.

Good for her for giving it the effort and for handling the downside with poise & grace. You must be extremely proud of her.
