Is this BER?

I found this spot on my golden cayenne. Is it Ber?

It does look like BER damage, but it's kinda high up on the pod; BER would normally be around the midpoint or 3/4 of the way from where it is in that pic to the blossom end of the pod.

I have had a bunch of that exact situation with pods this year - BER-looking damage that's more of a mid-pepper rot than a blossom end rot, but I think it is probably BER.
 
It does not look like BER to me. I have only seen Blossom End Rot on the end of the pod. I have never seen a diseased middle and a healthy end. It Looks like it's something else and not pest damage. Unless it's on every pod, I wouldn't worry about it.
