Whilst i have huge respect for the superhots.. the good old jalepenos are still my fave

Wow... that's a lot of ripe jalapenos. Question: Are they still firm? Because this last growing season, I grew several jalapeno types. They didn't seem to last long before turning mushy and, in some cases, wrinkly. By the time one was fully ripe and another started ripening, the first one would already start getting mushy. I've never seen anywhere *near* that many ripe jalapenos on a single plant... two or three if I'm lucky.

I'm actually wondering if jalapenos just don't like my location or something.

I have been watching them (and feeling them out ) regularly and none are getting soft yet.

Heh... that was so, eh... not right. If they taste as good as they look and have some decent heat you've got a winner of a jalapeno plant, whatever that variety is.

Those are great looking peppers.

But for the most part I like the flavor of green ones. I use the red ones when I make a red curry.
