I browned all the meats, added the seasonings and powders, and sweated the peppers and onions. I then add the beer followed by the tomato paste, diced tomatoes, and beans. It is now simmering on the stove for as long as I can stand before eating. I am going to try to wait until tomorrow, but I know that I will at least have to sample it tonight. I'll post bowl pics later.

you call that chili...looks more like bean soup to me....roflmao

***hope you know I'm just kidding***

TB just quit THP.

:mope:

Enough razzing, looks good.

You know, I CAN make CASI chili, but I like it with beans. Not a lot, just enough. There is WAY more meat and veggies than beans. To me the real fun in chili is trying to make the flavor just right. To find the balance of the different peppers so that the heat hits you all over, but none of it overwhelms the rest. That is the reason for the brown sugar and cocoa in mine to balance the flavors. If you tried it, you would love it. Don't forget it has already won me this!

Jay, it looks good man and I will have to try it...

I would be honored. Next chili cookoff I enter, I will let you know and you can fly up and enter your AJ's Red right beside mine and we can shoot the bull and eat chili. Don't forget to bring the Shiner as they don't sell it here.

that would be so cool...to cook chili next to you...but you must remember I am retired now and that fixed income they tell you about isn't fixed, it is as broken as it gets...if I ever do come up for a visit, I will bring a truck load of shiner...reminds me of a Seinfeld episode...

Nope, this is just for me.

Nowhere near done, but done enough to sample. I added a little Monterey Jack cheese and I'm liking it long time right now.

Beans, beans, the magical fruit,
the more you eat, the more you toot.

LOL

With beans, without beans, it's all good! But really now, when are you going to learn that you don't need BP?????

Thank you. Those weren't attacks, just ribbing. I expected it, but I like beans in my chili/soup so I make it the way I want. If I ever live in Texas I will make it the same way and I bet they will eat it. I know TB and AJ would anyway.

Of course I'd eat it. That's right, Jay's not from Texas but Texas wants him anyway!

Someone told me to add just ONE alleve tablet to a pot of chili.
It takes away some of the pain from the heat.
Though it adds a bitter flavor, a dab of olive oil or rendered bacon fat provides a delicate balance.

I wonder what would happen if you added a viagra!!!

TB?

TB doesn't add Viagra he adds a sedative, then when the chili isn't looking, he slips the beans in.
